OligoScan is a revolutionary system that scans the palm of the hand using absorptiometry to non-invasively and quickly measure 14 toxic heavy metals and 20 essential minerals and reference minerals deposited in tissues and blood vessel walls. Absorptiometry is a quantitative measurement method consisting of measuring the absorbance or optical density of chemicals. Every chemical compound has a characteristic wavelength for light absorption, fluorescence or reflection, and the more the target substance is present, the more light is absorbed according to Lambert-Beer's law. Absorptiometry is used in a wide range of fields, including chemistry, pharmacy, environment, food processing, biology, medical/clinical, materials, and chemical engineering. It is also used in clinical testing for blood and tissue clinical diagnosis. OligoScan uses newly developed special scanning technology and a huge database to achieve short-time measurement using absorptiometry.
