Lecture commemorating the establishment of the Japanese Society of Aesthetic Internal Medicine

The day before yesterday, there was a lecture commemorating the inauguration of the Japanese Society of Aesthetic Internal Medicine. The event was a great success, with over 200 participants and 18 companies exhibiting their businesses. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated and to the companies that sponsored the event.
As a board member, I also participated in the talk show and talked about the great potential of the vagus nerve.
Although my specialty is cosmetic surgery, as a researcher I believe that the great potential of vagus nerve stimulation therapy can be utilized in the field of cosmetic medicine.
The directors and councilors of our society include doctors in internal medicine, dermatology, and plastic surgery, as well as gynecology, urology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, psychiatry, and dentistry.
In the future, the Japanese Society of Aesthetic Internal Medicine would like to focus on the following clinical practices, research, and activities. We welcome applications from doctors in many departments, medical professionals, and beauty-related companies.
・Exosome drips and drips of unapproved preparations that neglect verification of safety and reliable efficacy will be verified at academic conferences.
・Fostering doctors and clinics who can correctly use effective supplements, supplements with sufficient content, and supplements that are guaranteed to be safe.
・Sharing know-how on medically correct prescriptions for existing drugs
・Establishment of a cosmetic medical approach to diseases such as acne and melasma that require lifestyle and daily care.
・Nutritional therapy in aesthetic medicine
・Aesthetic medicine from hormone replacement therapy and peptide therapy
・Sleep beauty; from examination to treatment
・Posture beauty in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons
・Cosmetic mind and body medical care in collaboration with psychiatrists and psychosomatic physicians
・Cosmetic medicine femtech medical care in collaboration with gynecologists
・Andropause treatment at a beauty clinic in collaboration with a urologist
・Cosmetic medicine that approaches from the oral cavity in collaboration with dentists
・Advice for doctors at insurance medical institutions who are considering introducing new aesthetic medicine
Our society will create a co-medical subcommittee related to aesthetic medicine.

I am currently teaching a lecture on alternative medicine and ethics at Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine.With regard to supplements, we are flooded with information and the benefits are being promoted one-sidedly, so every year we talk about the risks of taking supplements in our lectures.Be careful with overseas supplements, as even if they are called supplements, they may contain the same ingredients as pharmaceutical products.It is well known that there was a case in which a person who purchased Chinese-made diet supplements online died.When it comes to imported products from overseas, you need to be especially careful as the ingredients may not be as listed.I think it's safer to never touch diet supplements.
