I am honored to have my masterpiece, "Brown City Circuit," displayed in the main room of Ginza Higankaku. The same place where Marie Laurencin's paintings were displayed for a long time.
If you have the opportunity, I would be happy if you could see it.
"Brown Circuit City"
By Nobu Suetake (2025) | Mixed media
This innovative work of art was created by Nobu Suetake, who reinterpreted the spirit of Leonardo da Vinci, who was a scientist, engineer, and anatomist, for the modern era. This piece embodies the essence of human wisdom and the miraculous beauty that the earth has nurtured, and is embodied using unique techniques, making it a true culmination of 21st century art and technology.
This work was created using the "Resin 2024D Retouching Method" developed by Nobu Suetake himself and for which a patent is pending in 3. Flexible circuit boards extracted from 60 SLR cameras were encapsulated in transparent acrylic plates with resin, and images were photographed and retouched and specially printed on canvas. On top of that, dazzling jewels, extraterrestrial materials, historical relics, and the latest technology parts are layered with resin to create an unprecedented expression technique.
The materials used are diverse, including natural stones such as opals, rubies, emeralds, jade, pearls, amethyst, turquoise, crystal, citrine, and agate, as well as meteorites, ancient arrowheads, Roman glass, Roman silver and copper coins, ores, glass nuggets, electronic circuit boards, iPhone logic boards, watch movements, and nail art materials.
These materials are layered in beautiful, precise detail to create an image of an unknown city of the future - a utopia floating in space.
Brown Circuit City is more than just a visual art; it is a grand vision that transcends time and space, woven together from "the wisdom of humanity, the miracles of the Earth, and the accumulation of time and technology."

An innovative artwork by Nobu Suetake, inspired by a modern reinterpretation of the spirit of Leonardo da Vinci—scientist, engineer, and anatomist. This work condenses the essence of “beauty” born from the wisdom of humanity and the miracles of the Earth, realized through a one-of-a-kind artistic technique. It is a true fusion of 21st-century art and technology.
The piece was created using Suetake's original “Resin 3D Retouch Technique,” developed independently and filed for patent in 2024. Flexible circuits extracted from 60 DSLR cameras were embedded in clear acrylic with resin, photographed, digitally retouched, and then specially printed onto canvas. On top of this, dazzling gemstones, extraterrestrial materials, historical relics, and cutting-edge technological components were layered meticulously with resin in a completely new form of expression.
Materials used include natural stones such as opal, raw ruby, raw emerald, jade, pearl, amethyst, turquoise, quartz, citrine, and agate; as well as meteorites, ancient arrowheads, Roman glass, Roman silver and copper coins, minerals, glass nuggets, electronic circuit boards, iPhone logic boards, watch movements, and even nail art elements.
Through the careful and beautiful layering of these diverse elements, the vision of an unknown futuristic city—an ideal metropolis floating in space—emerges from the surface.
“Brown Circuit City” is more than a visual artwork; it is a transcendent vision woven from the convergence of human wisdom, Earth's miracles, and the accumulation of time and technology.
