"Completely copied" a rival company's successful surgery photos
"Weekly Bunshun" has previously reported on the company's "mass firing" of new employees, unreasonable fine systems, pressure sales tactics that lock patients in and pressure them into signing contracts, and the existence of a silly video of a doctor being stabbed in the head with a syringe. And now, it has come to light that the company has completely copied successful surgery photos (case photos) from rival company Shinagawa Cosmetic Surgery (hereinafter referred to as Shinagawa) and used them as materials for explaining things to patients. Shinagawa is a long-established company founded in 1988, and is currently a major rival company in the industry with 39 clinics nationwide. A former TCB counselor who was in charge of explaining things to patients, known as counseling, said: "(TCB) executives instructed employees to plagiarize. The internal system, which only staff can log into, contained internal information from other companies, including treatment manuals and photos of Shinagawa's staff." Our magazine obtained "evidence photos" of TCB's internal system, which was taken in October 2023. The page displayed was pink, just like Shinagawa's website, and featured a photo of Shinagawa called "Flexnose."Trademark registrationThe name of the procedure (official name "Flex Nose") is also listed. And the URL column has the string "picture_selection/shinagawa". Even though it's supposed to be TCB's internal system, for some reason the case photos from Shinagawa are being used.
Shinagawa Plastic Surgery responded, "We did not give permission (to provide the photos)."
When we asked the public relations officer at Shinagawa about this, he replied, "There is no fact that the photographs were provided, and our hospital did not give permission for this." We sent a questionnaire to TCB requesting confirmation of the facts, but did not receive a response by the deadline.
