■Project Overview Based on the concept that "cosmetic surgeons are the ultimate artists," Nobu Suetake, a cosmetic surgeon and researcher of the autonomic nervous system, will challenge himself to create new expressions in order to bring Leonardo da Vinci back to life in the modern age. Through this project, we aim to spread the possibilities of new art from Japan to the world, and to contribute to society by using a portion of the project's profits to support visually impaired people and research funds. ■Background Nobu Suetake has 35 years of experience as a cosmetic surgeon and 25 years as a researcher of the autonomic nervous system, and has pursued beauty in particular for women. With the belief that "cosmetic surgeons are the ultimate artists," and inspired by the versatility of Leonardo da Vinci, he aims to create new artistic expressions in the modern age. This project combines the mission of a doctor and scientist with the creativity of an artist, and also aims to give back to society by using a portion of the profits to support visually impaired people and medical research, based on the background of Nobu Suetake's mother's life as a blind person and the suffering she experienced together with him. ■Contents of the project 1. Nobu Suetake's art creations Nobu Suetake, a cosmetic surgeon and medical doctor, creates next-generation artworks by combining the latest laser technology with his knowledge as a researcher of the autonomic nervous system (human software) at Juntendo University School of Medicine. His works are made using rare and valuable materials such as gemstones, meteorites, fossils, Roman glass, watch parts, electronic components, and iPhone logic boards, and are created using new techniques. Creation of works using new techniques Inspired by the versatility of Leonardo da Vinci, Nobu Suetake creates artworks using new techniques with the themes of "humanity," "universe," and "mandala." Using his sensibility as a cosmetic surgeon, he challenges himself to express the universe and abstract beauty using patented 3D resin retouching techniques and cutting-edge lasers. 4. Diverse methods of expression His artworks use a wide variety of materials, including gemstones, fossils, meteorites, Roman glass, electronic components, and watch parts, and are characterized by a wide variety of methods of expression, including mixed media, objects, and video art. In particular, his works using the new 3D resin retouching technique, skull models such as cyborg skulls and mother-of-pearl skulls, and beautiful video art with a space theme have attracted attention.
